We have a hope in God.
Hope is defined as a feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen. Our hope is in God because we know he will work out everything on our behalf.
God has given us many promises and our expectations and desires lie in those promises. God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it? Numbers 23:19
