Serving God by Serving Others

‘For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me. Matthew 25:35-40

Think of the last time you help someone and how you felt afterwards.

One of the most rewarding things you can do is to help someone who is in need.

They are many ways we can serve and show God’s love to others. Whether it is with our time or resources.

Sometimes we miss the call to serve because of our busy lifestyles and self- centeredness.

God has placed within every believer, gifts and talents which they can use to edify and help others.

When Jesus said to love him with all your heart, mind and soul and to love thy neighbor as thyself further reiterate what the above scripture is saying. When we love God we will love each other and serve each other.

Never think what you are doing for someone is insignificant but look at it as God’s purpose and will for you, when you serve another individual.

As God representatives here on earth when he instructs us to do something we must walk in obedience because we are the answer to someone’s prayer.

In conclusion look for ways in which you can better serve in your families, communities, church, school, workplaces and volunteer organizations.

Just remember in all you do serve others with love.

Be Blessed…
