Be Focus on God's Calling

In this episode, I will be talking about Being Focus on God’s Calling.

I have often found, when God has called us to do something we will meet some form of opposition in our lives.  Opposition can come in the form of a person doing things to hinder you. It can come in the form of your children acting up and it can in the form of health issues.

The enemy main role is to distract you from what God has called you to do.

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. John 10:10

Therefore you must remain focus and trust the process. For He who has begun a good work in you is able to bring it to completion.

We will be looking at Nehemiah in rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem.

Scripture : Nehemiah 1 & 2

Nehemiah was the king’s cup bearer

A cup-bearer was an officer of high rank in royal courts whose duty it was to serve the drinks at the royal table. On account of the constant fear of plots and intrigues, a person must be regarded as thoroughly trustworthy to hold the position.

Word to the Wise:

Here are the Key Biblical principle form the lesson

  1. If you have a heavy burden on your heart, fast and prayer about it and seek God’s guidance.
  2. Ask God to give you favor with those in authority and the resources to get the work done.
  3. When God has chosen you to do his work they will persons who will be opposed to what you are doing for varying reasons.
  4. Sometimes you will have to keep What God has instructed you to do secretly and only share with others at the appropriate time.
  5. Get persons who are working with you to be motivated, willing and ready for the task at hand.
  6. When your opposer hears or sees your plans they will try to be disrespectful, insulting  and mock at you.
  7. However, keep your eye focus on Jesus and what he has called you to do and you will succeed.

Heavenly Father, I  thank you for choosing us to do your work here on earth. I pray that you will help us to remain focus on what you have called us to do, Amidst distractions and opposers. May your work not be hindered but it will be completed in Jesus name Amen.
