He Who Began a Good Work – Devotional

God is with you devotional

Scripture text: Philippians 1:6

“Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.”

Sometimes, God calls us to do things that may seem small and insignificant by society’s standards. This can leave you feeling like your efforts aren’t enough or significant. Pride might creep in, making you feel that the task is beneath you. You might wonder, “How can God call me to do this after I’ve earned a degree in a specific field?”

But remember, before birth, God had already predestined your life and purpose. Look at those in the world today who didn’t follow social norms but pursued what God gave them. Despite being told to give up, they followed God’s direction and became very successful. Some of these individuals include Mother Teresa, Nelson Mandela, Florence Nightingale, Rosa Parks, and missionary doctors like those in Doctors Without Borders.

Today, whatever God has placed in your heart to do, just do it. Appreciate that God sees you as fit to accomplish His purpose on earth. He could have chosen someone else, but He chose you because He knows what is within you. The tasks you think are small are significant to God.

Remember, God’s ways are not your ways, and His thoughts are not your thoughts. Trust Him, don’t rely on your own wisdom or the opinions of those around you. In everything, let Him guide and direct your path.

Be blessed…
