How to receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit

The gifts of the Holy Spirit also called spiritual gifts are given by the Holy Spirit to help us minister the love, life and power of Jesus Christ through the supernatural.

The gifts of the Holy Spirit, also known as spiritual gifts, are given by the Holy Spirit to help us minister the love, life, and power of Jesus Christ through the supernatural.

You receive these spiritual gifts when you are born again and have received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. The first initial sign that you have received the power and gifts of the Holy Spirit is speaking in tongues. However, not speaking in tongues does not necessarily mean you have not received the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace: 1 Peter 4:10 (ESV)

To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given through the Spirit the utterance of wisdom, and to another the utterance of knowledge according to the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another the ability to distinguish between spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. All these are empowered by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to each one individually as he wills.1 Corinthians 12:7-11(ESV)

And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. Acts 2:4 (ESV)
