“Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.” (1 John 4:7)
Throughout the Bible, we see God’s unconditional love for Israel. No matter what sins they committed, when they cried out and repented, He forgave them and accepted them back.
God’s love for us surpasses our human wisdom. As parents, we get a glimpse of that unconditional love coming forth with our children. No matter what they do, we still love them and want the best for them. We protect them from harm and danger and would even die for them.
God has placed His love in us through the Holy Spirit. So, even when we think we can’t love someone, the Spirit of God that resides within us will give us the grace to love the unlovable and also to love our enemies.
We have no excuse not to demonstrate the love of God to others, which seems to be lacking in our society today and among us as believers.
We have to show love to others, for people will know that we are Christians by our love.
I would like to encourage you today to share the love of God with those with whom you come into contact. You just might change someone’s life, for you never know what someone may be going through or have been through. But when you show them the love of God, it can positively impact them.
