What does it mean to have faith as a mustard seed?
And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. Matthew 17:20
A mustard seed is a small round seed about 1 to 2 millimeters in diameter.
Faith is believing in something even though you can’t see it, and you take action on that belief to make it happen.
So just imagine, if you have that small measure of faith and use it, you would make the impossible possible.
The Believer
As believers in Christ, Jesus expects us to use our faith. Not wavering or doubting but trusting and operating in His power through the Holy Spirit. For without faith it’s impossible to please God.
For when we use our faith it shows that we are believing God at his word. It also empowers us to help others thereby bringing honor and glory to God.
Our faith can set people free from demonic oppression.
Our faith can bring hope to the hopeless.
Our faith can lead others to salvation.
Our faith can bring healing.
Our faith can create miracles.
To name a few…
Believe + Actions = Faith
It is therefore very important that we have faith and do not fear.
For fear breeds doubt and this can cripple us both mentally and physically.
Which makes us less effective as believers.
However, faith gives us confidence and boldness to go forth and do what God has called us to do. Even if it makes us look foolish in the eyes of others.
Today, Jesus is asking us to use our faith even if it’s the size of a mustard seed. Because that small seed can grow a big tree.
God has chosen you and equipped you with spiritual gifts. So go forth and use your faith.
You have within you what it takes to make the impossible possible.
Be Blessed…
