Thanksgiving Day
Thanksgiving began as a day of giving thanks and sacrifice for the blessing of the harvest and of the preceding year. It is celebrated as a national holiday in the United States, Canada, some of the Caribbean islands, and Liberia, but held on various dates.
In the United States, Thanksgiving is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November. It’s a time where family members take the opportunity to assemble and enjoy a day filled with good food, football, and the big annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
While Thanksgiving Day is good, the practice of giving thanks daily is also crucial.
The importance of Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving is important because it encourages thankfulness.
We live in a world filled with a lot of negativity, hurt, and pain. However, identifying with things in our lives in which we are thankful for can completely change our attitude and give us a renewed perspective on life. It also helps us evaluate the important things in our lives.

Have a thankful attitude
There are so many things in our lives we take for granted daily; for example, our family, friends, job, community, freedom, our possessions etc. Until one
day when they are taken from us. It is only then we realize the contribution or impact this person or thing has made in our lives.
God has been so good to me, even on the worst days, I still see His blessings.
I will, therefore, like to implore you to give thanks to God daily for His goodness and blessing towards you. Even when it seems as though things are going against you on that particular day, try not to worry or complain. Instead, begin to count your blessings and give thanks.
In conclusion,
Let your thankfulness and appreciation not only be measured in words but also by your actions.
I will, therefore, like to encourage you to take a few minutes to reflect on the people, places, and things that you are thankful for as you approach the end of this year.
